Moms do you let your kids “play” to sleep?
When my husband and I tuck our 20 month old daughter in bed give her kisses and walk out the door, we will hear her slowly creep out and get something out of her toy box and take it back in her bed. I think its Absolutely adorable and as long as she is in bed she can play herself to sleep, that’s fine by us. (of course when i go check on her before i go to bed i have to pick them out because she has them all propped in their around her lol) But my question is do you care if your kids do this? I just have so many friends that say bedtime is a nightmare that their kids scream and its horrible, but i have seen them and they expect them to sleep alone, no blanket, or lovey or anything and just stare at the walls? I also think my daughter started playing with toys because her paci was gone at 18 months and she had to find something else to make her tired. So anyways what do you do?
Congrats on being Pregnant!! Yay! Hunter does the same thing. After I read him the bed time story, I put it on the shelf. then when I get down stairs and turn on the monitor, I can hear him “reading” his book again : ] Sooo cute! I take it out of his bed around 11 along with all Dr. Suess animals that found their way in his bed.
He has a weird routine to going to sleep. He has to rub his feet all over his bed. So I listen to that in the monitor as well as his humming or reading.
